Design Evaluation
It is important to evaluate an existing product / service in order to identify the current problems which need to be changed. Also, it is important to evaluate the newly designed product / service to test how much it fits the design goal or the design criteria. The focus of these evaluation could be on the content, user-experience, usability or the effect that it creates. Depending on the focus, different methodologies or tools are used during the evaluation sessions.
some examples

Usability Inspections
Cognitive Walkthrough: I conduct a task-based usability inspection, walking through each step of task flow and answering prescribed questions to identify the aspects of the interface which could be challenging to new users.
Heuristic evaluation: I measure the usability of user interfaces through using "rules of thumb" in independent walkthroughs. This reveals insights which help me enhance product usability early in development.

User Tests within Context
To evaluate new designs, I conduct user tests while imitating the context-of-use. This way, the participants can relate better with the experience and give more realistic feedback.

Rapid & Iterative Tests
In order to test small ideas and iterate on them based on the user feedback, I conduct rapid and iterative tests. This method helps me to invest less time and take confident steps while developing a concept further.
